Happy new year, everyone!! I can’t believe it’s already 2014!
This month’s theme was shot last month when I did “Order.” Since we’re required to use at least 3 objects from the last shoot, it just made sense to restyle for the “Chaos” theme at the same time. Allow me to present to you an artist’s studio in the midst of creation:

Your critiques and feedback are welcome! Don’t forget to take a look at last month’s challenge to see which objects were reused.
For details about this challenge, read this post here.
It’s not too late to participate! If you have a styled shoot of an chaotic scene you’d like to share, feel free to link it in the comments below. If you want to officially join the challenge with us, let us know here. Stay tuned for next month’s concept: Patterns.

Love the photos!
Thank you!
Hey M. Happy New Year! I absolutely love the first picture. The soft colors appeals and the crumpled rolls of paper add to the drama of chaos. Great job M.
Thank you, Namrata!
I love the colours - they go so well together. I have to say though, if that’s “chaos”…my craft room must be “apocalypse”! I WISH my art and craft room was that tidy and co-ordinated!
Well, had to stage some sort of beautiful mess. If I shot my craft studio as it is, it would be nothing but clutter and that’s just not beautiful photography.
I like the first 2 photos, I don’t like the third one where only the pencils are in focus, it’s too blurry.
Thanks for the feedback!
If this is chaotic for you, maybe I can hire you to help put my house in order
Lovely pics as always, M. Great styling.
I love the softly rolled paper in the second pic, and I love how part of the drawing is in focus.
Here’s to a wonderful year ahead!
Yes this is chaos when compared to my Order shoot, no? My aim in this challenge is to shoot beautiful images and to practice staging. If I shot real chaos in my home, they would fit none of my goals in this challenge, haha.
Hi M,
So smart to take the photos for Order and Chaos at the same time! I actually like the third picture. I think the unfocused foreground adds dimension and really draws the eye towards the colored pencils. Very cool.
Happy 2014!
It just made sense, didn’t it? Since I had all the objects out, why not make a mess of my Order shoot and then shoot Chaos while at it? Thanks for your feedback!
I love the selection here. The punch out stars, the doodle. The paper. Those shears! I wish my fabric shelves looked half this good on a regular basis. You make chaos sexy. Ow, ow. Erhm .I set my post to go live at 9 am. And it didn’t, still getting the hang of that feature. I couldn’t figure out why I had no comments yet! It’s up now, ready for some gandering. Happy new year!
Thank you, Nicole! It was really fun to stage this fantasy artist’s studio for the past two themes. It was totally my goal to make chaos look sexy - you’re the best for pointing that out!
Hey M, again lovely shoot. I like how you styled everything and again the use of colours!
Happy New Year, indeed, M. But I apologize for the delay in commenting
been a hectic month. I am a sucker for from the top shots so I love the first and the last. They are artistically chaotic
