Why do you blog?
I started this site (formerly named Redesigned By M) as an online manual to record all our house renovations and household management systems. It eventually became a useful resource when my friends wanted to take on a similar project.
Why do you DIY?
I kind of hate shopping. Nothing will give me a headache faster than spending countless hours online or wandering in the shops searching for the “perfect thing.” If I can find that perfect item for a reasonable price (let’s be honest - aren’t some things out there overpriced??) under two hours, then that’s awesome. Otherwise, I just make it myself.
What is “Planq?”
I wanted a simple name for my studio that reflected something architectural and related to industrial design (which is my favorite design style). Wooden board planks were the first thing that came to mind.
